The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) has introduced SATHEE SSC, a platform aimed at aiding aspirants preparing for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams. Supported by the Ministry of Education, this initiative aims to provide affordable and quality education resources, particularly benefiting students from economically weaker sections. SATHEE SSC offers a comprehensive range of study materials, tests, video lectures, and interactive sessions with experienced educators. Leveraging technological expertise, SATHEE aims to make SSC exam preparation accessible and effective for all aspirants. Aspirants can register for SATHEE SSC through the hee.iitk.in website or the SATHEE app available on the App Store or Play Store. The platform features a user-friendly interface that enables students to easily access all available resources. Alignment with National Educational Policy Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, highlighted the initiative’s alignment with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020. He stated, “With the launch of SATHEE SSC, we are expanding our commitment to making education accessible to all. This initiative is a significant step in leveraging technology to empower students across India, preparing them not just for exams but for a brighter future.” SATHEE SSC initially offers courses and study materials for SSC Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) exams and plans to expand its offerings to include other exams under the SSC category. This expansion aims to ensure that more aspirants have access to comprehensive preparation resources. Prof. Amey Karkare, Principal Investigator of the project, emphasized the integration of AI-enabled tutoring systems into SATHEE SSC. He explained, “Integrating AI-enabled tutoring systems into SATHEE SSC allows us to offer a personalized learning experience that adapts to individual student needs.” This personalized approach ensures that each student receives tailored guidance based on their unique learning requirements, thereby enhancing their preparation efficiency. Democratizing Education in India The launch of SATHEE SSC represents a significant step towards democratizing education in India. By providing high-quality resources at an affordable cost, IIT Kanpur is helping bridge the educational gap for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
