Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan,Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.
Age Limit and Age Relaxation:
The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2024 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 14017/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14.07.1988.

Permissible relaxation in upper age limit prescribed i n Para 7.1 above is in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 15012/2/2010-Estt.(D) dated 27.03.2012:
